Mixed media illustration, using black biro, black, orange, and pink watercolours, and digital editing. The image is split in the middle: the left half features white text on a grey background, the left half has a white background with grey text. On the left, four white circles form a diagonal line going down the page. Each circle features a spot illustration: a dress, Cinderella looking up in shock as her hair is being pulled, brushed, and straightened, the pumpkin carriage waiting to have wheels fitted, and a mouse in a harness. The text reads: “She whisked up a dress and made Cinderella’s hair nice, turned a pumpkin into a carriage and made horses from mice.” The right hand side of the image resembles a video sharing platform. There is a video playing, with buttons to react to the video, and three thumbnails for other videos down the right. Within the video, the Fairy Godmother is handing Cinderella her glass slippers whilst vlogging. Cinderella is struggling to carry masses of bags in the background, debuting her new look. The text reads: “”A pair of glass slippers to complete your haul. SEE? Now you CAN go to the ball!”” Underneath, a comment states: “Shoes of glass? That’s got to hurt.

Cinderella: The Clock Struck Twelve
Mixed media illustration, using black biro, black, and pink watercolours, and digital editing, with a white background. A series of three consecutive illustrations shows Cinderella, clad in high heels and a tight dress, tripping over. Initially she loses balance, her left leg in the air behind her, and her left arm above her head. With her arms stretched out in front of her, and legs following behind, she braces herself for the fall. Finally, having recovered from the fall, she looks behind her, examining the rip at the back of her dress, exposing her heart-decorated underwear. The pleated hem of her dress has also ripped, hanging down her leg. Her face, feet, and fingers are coloured pink, along with the hearts on her underwear. The text reads: “She stumbles, trips, and rips her skirt.”
Mixed media illustration, using black biro, orange, black, and pink watercolours, orange coloured pencil, and digital painting, with a grey, textured, digitally painted background. On the left hand side, the pumpkin carriage is travelling down a path, pulled by 2 small mice. Text follows the shape of the path, reading: “Cinderella made her way to the ball, she had no excuses after all.” in a hand-drawn typeface. On the right hand side, is a close up of the pumpkin carriage. Cinderella is struggling to climb out of the carriage, covered in pumpkin gunk. The text reads: “When she arrived, the music was thumping, she could feel it as she squeezed out of her pumpkin.”
Narrative
Left: Romeo holds up a phone in one hand, making finger guns with the other. Text reads: “ “Juliet! My love, my light, I am your ONLY! (Please swipe right!) I know our families rage and fight, but will you be with me tonight?” “ Right: Juliet leans out of her window, face supported by her hands. Text reads: “ “Romeo! You silly fool!” But her pre-teen angst can’t help but drool. “How can we love? Where would we meet? Why must this rose smell so sweet?” “
Left: Rosaline stands in a diminishing spotlight. Text reads: “ “This forceful love, it makes me sick! That man’s no rose, he’s just a prick!” But Rosaline’s no longer in this story… Let’s leave her here and get more gory…” Right: Mercutio and Tybalt comically fighting. Text reads: “Montagues and Capulets are seen here fighting, as a result of the Capulets’ Romeo sighting. Unfazed, on the other side of town, a secret wedding is going down.”
